This recording of Klengel’s Fourth Cello Concerto and his Double Concerto has been one of my favourites since my childhood. To me, Julius Klengel is one of the greatest Romantic composers and it is totally incomprehensible that he is almost forgotten today. I was so happy to be able to do the world premiere recording of his beautiful and thrilling Third Cello

This marvellous recording was one of the reasons that made me want to study with Wen-sinn Yang. He plays this operatic music by the Belgian composer and cellist Adrien François Servais with great aplomb, shaping the well-known melodies in an intense narrative style and the stunningly virtuoso passages with enchanting lightness and humour.
