An occasion of burning passions and flickering emotion
Here’s an image to have any company fire officer waking up in a cold sweat. Though concerts by candlelight have long been a part of the classical music scene, the Quatuor Bregovic took things to a new level for their recent performance at Café Högloftet in Skansen, Stockholm by getting up close and personal not just with the audience but with the candlles themselves. The concert was one of a series in the Swedish capital over late March and early April in which the pleasant odour of melting wax was accompanied by the strains of composers such as Vivaldi, John Williams and, in this instance, Queen.
