Experience the Korean Cultural Centre House Concert series 2022

Presenting the very best of Korean classical music talent to audiences in the UK

-

Since its inception in 2016, the House Concert series has showcased some of the finest Uk-based classical music talent from Korea. Curated with the Royal College of Music, The Guildhall School of Music & Drama and the Royal Academy of Music, this partnership has been an excellent platform for supporting emerging Korean artists to gain more opportunities and to get closer to local audiences.

Jungwoo Lee, the KCCUK director, has emphasised the importance of encouraging and supporting classical music’s brightest young stars and the most exceptional emerging artists from Korea. As part of this commitment, he has invited emerging Korean artists not only based in the UK but also further afield to perform. Under Lee, the KCCUK is striving to present the best of Korean music to UK audiences. Here is all you need to know about the Jungwoo Lee House Concert series.

A wide programme of performances

The House Concert series runs in partnership with St James’s Church, one of the oldest churches and most highly regarded concert venues in Central London. In addition to this stunning venue, there are often performances held throughout the UK as part of different festivals.

House Concert programme director Narae Kim has created a programme that combines classical music with Korean art genres. Kim has a passion for introducing Korean composers to UK audiences and this year’s House Concert series offers an excellent opportunity for young classical musicians to not only showcase their excellent musical ability but also to bring the classical genre to a wider audience.
