Pavarotti earns his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

-

Luciano Pavarotti has become the 2,730th dedicatee of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Nearly 15 years after his death, the great Italian tenor was honoured at a ceremony in August that was attended by his daughter Cristina and granddaughter Caterina, among others. In taking his place at 7065 Hollywood Boulevard, Pavarotti joins other notable classical musicians such as composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein, soprano Maria Callas and fellow tenor Enrico Caruso. Describing the occasion as ‘a tremendous honour’, Cristina said that ‘I wish I could express just how much I’d love for him to be here today, but alas, not even the stars hold so much power.’
