AMY’S BIRTHDAY

-

Even being on hold for hours on the phone is not enough to break a man’s love for his eight-year-old niece in the first TV ad for Vodafone created by Ogilvy & Mather. The uncle promises little Amy concert tickets for her favourite pop star, Nathan Sykes, but the tickets don’t go on sale until the following morning. He rises at 6am and stays on the phone queue all day, through errands and his commute, without dropping the call – thanks to Vodafone’s network. The spot was created by James Manning and Richard Barrett, and directed by Patrick Duroux through Knucklehead.
