The last of the long-lived C15/Tiger Cub-based series, with a new oil-bearing chassis and smart street scrambler clothes for BSA’s final rescue attempt. Naming it the Gold Star 250 didn’t help sales and outraged BSA classicists. Also called the B25 Victor and rebadged as the Triumph Trailblazer/Blazer SS. As with all 250s, these suffered from learner neglect, so buy carefully and change the engine’s oil frequently. They are very high compression, and can be a challenge to start. Most spares are around, though quality can be extremely variable. The conical hub brakes are “interesting” to set up. The last are probably the best of all the BSA 250 singles and are entirely practical classics. They even have indicators.
