ABARTH IN MINIATURE
The 1960 356 B 1600GS Carrera GTL Abarth is reckoned to be one of the prettiest Porsches of all. The Abarth, of course, was all about weight loss, with the car reportedly weighing in at just under 800kg. Made entirely of aluminum, the Abarthʼs body was smaller overall than the 356 on which it was based, reducing the drag coefficient from 0.398 to 0.365. This beautiful 1:18-scale model from Minichamps reproduces the Abarth that ran in the 1962 Le Mans 24 Hours, with Ben Pon and Carel Godin de Beaufort at the wheel. Just 200 individually numbered pieces have been produced, each costing €249.95 (or £220). Order direct from selectionrs.com
