JUBILEE EDITION 964 MODEL

March 1993 saw the presentation at the Geneva motor show of the 964 Carrera 4 ‘Anniversary’ to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the 911. The official name is ‘911 30 Jahre’, although for enthusiasts it quickly became known as the ‘964 Jubilee’. Based on a Carrera 4, the car adopted the ‘Turbo-look’, with wider rear wings (giving a total width of 1775mm, like the Turbo), and the Cup Design rims of the Turbo II model. It had the all-wheel drivetrain, suspension and brakes from the Carrera 4.

Limited to just 911 examples, 77 per cent of these special models were presented in a metallic Viola shade (which varies from purple to midnight blue depending on the lighting) and 20 per cent in Polar Gray metallic. The other colours offered were Amethyst Metallic, Black Metallic, Indian Red and Maritime Blue.

Standard equipment included a full leather interior, ABS, power steering, airbags, electric windows and mirrors, and central locking. Seats, carpets, headlining and steering wheel were all trimmed the same in ‘Grey Rubicon’.
