Classic Porsche

“AFTER SOME 43 YEARS OF EDITING MAGAZINES, I FELT LIKE A CHANGE OF PACE…”

- Keith Seume Editor, Classic Porsche classicporsche.ed@kelsey.co.uk

I have to admit that when I first kicked around the idea for a magazine called Classic Porsche roughly 20 years ago, I had no idea it would take another ten years before the magazine would see the light of day. And now, here we are, another ten years later and I’m signing off in this, my final issue as editor.

Eagle-eyed readers – or at least, readers who bother to take notice of things like ‘flannel panels’ (that’s the panel on the left, with details of who’s responsible for what in each issue) – will have noticed that the magazine has changed hands recently, and is now part of Kelsey Media’s growing portfolio.

During the lockdown period, many of us have had the opportunity to reassess our working situation and I for one came to the conclusion that, after some 43 years of editing magazines, I felt like a change of pace.

Don’t get me wrong – I still get a thrill out of putting a magazine together, and most definitely get an even bigger thrill out of meeting interesting people and driving classic Porsches on a regular basis. But with a change of ownership, I felt it was the right time for me to step aside to make way for a new editor. Fear not, my name will still appear within these pages, but from the next issue onwards, it will be Dan Furr’s name signing off at the foot of this page. I’m sure the magazine will be in safe hands.

So, here’s to my relaxing a little and catching up with you all at some events next year – look out for the guy in the Nepal Orange 914. That’ll be me. Don’t be shy – come and say hello!
