These fantastic gear shift knobs from Rennline afford the interior of your classic Porsche a modern twist on the cog-swapping stick topper found in the cabin of the 917 sports-prototypes of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Like those of the 917, Rennline’s offering features layers in different colours, but where it differs from the original Porsche part is how you can choose not only the colour of each layer, but also the material. Cnc-machined to allow each of the six layers to slide together with precision, the top cam is threaded into the bottom, sandwiching all of the middle layers in place, eliminating the concern of missing a gear because of a loose or detached gear knob. There’s no need for you to cut, drill or modify your car’s factory shift lever to install and Rennline promises ergonomically correct 1.875-inch diameter fitment slightly weighted to improve shifter feel.
