6 ADDRESS YOUR TRIGGERS
Working with people who rub you up the wrong way, pick holes in everything you do or have ever-changing moods can make you miserable. But when we don’t get along with our colleagues, it can highlight something we need to address in our own behaviour. It’s up to us how much we let people trigger us and, in turn, what we do about it. Look at the ways in which you and your colleagues work differently – does a team member need a lot of handholding? Perhaps they lack confidence. Does your boss hate being given problems but not solutions? Maybe they feel pressure from higher up to get things done. Try to understand their motivations and adjust your interactions accordingly.
