HOW TO SEGMENT AN ORANGE
1 Place the orange on its side, then slice off the top and bottom with a sharp knife, to give a steady base. 2 Turn on its end and slice off the peel downwards, following the curve. Then trim off any remaining slivers of pith. 3 To remove the segments, hold the orange over a small bowl and cut close to each connective membrane, working towards the middle of the fruit. Scoop out the separated wedge. Repeat until you have released each segment.
