Mid-Hants lights trains prove popular

THE Mid-Hants Railway attracted more than 15,000 visitors during its Steam Illuminations event, which saw 13,000 programmable lights covering the locos and carriages during the December 4-23 sell-out services. Passengers also wore LED wristbands which changed colour while the exterior changed patterns. Grants of £600K from the Culture Recovery Fund and and £250k from the National Lottery Heritage Fund backed the event.
