Help Tarka Valley build visitor centre

THE Tarka Valley Railway has appealed for funds to help build a visitor centre and shop at its Torrington base.

The completion of the first phase of its project at the station – the laying of the siding to its restored coal dock – will see all rolling stock moved from the public platform area.

That will allow the recently-extended railway to become operational, but it also means that it can no longer use its Mk1 TSO as a shop. The carriage will be moved to the coal dock for restoration.
