Saphos Trains and Midland Pullman changes due to Covid-19 lockdown
SAPHOS Trains has cancelled its Leicester-Carlisle ‘Lakelander’ trip on February 13 and the NottinghamCardiff ‘Welsh Marches Express’ on February 27 because of lockdown.
The March 6 Worcester-Holyhead ‘North Wales Coast Express’ has been postponed until May 31.
At present all subsequent Saphos Trains’ departures are open for bookings.
The Statesman Rail ‘Settle & Carlisle Luncheon Circular’ originally booked for February 21 now has a May 3 departure, while the March 20-22 three-day ‘West Highland Statesman’ tour has been cancelled.
As we closed for press, Statesman was taking reservations for its programme from May onwards.
Originally scheduled for February 6, the Midland Pullman trip over the Settle and Carlisle line has been postponed until June 12.
The Blue Pullman-liveried HST set is scheduled to run again on March 20 with the fully-booked ‘Whitby Jet.’ On April 24, the three-day ‘Royal Highland Pullman’ departs for Scotland.
The ‘Devonian Pullman’ is expected to operate from Peterborough to Kingswear on May 3, while the ‘Cornish Coastal Pullman’ starts out from Eastleigh for Penzance on May 29.
