Pub near Quorn & Woodhouse station could become housing

-

PLANS have been submitted to close the Manor House Hotel opposite the Great Central Railway's Quorn & Woodhouse station and convert it into 12 homes.

The ‘gastropub' in Woodhouse Road, which opened opposite the station entrance in 1899 and describes itself as a ‘country pub with luxury bedrooms', was a new entry in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide in 2021.

According to a planning application to Charnwood Borough Council, a developer wants to turn the main building into five two-bedroom apartments, its bed and breakfast accommodation into six flats, and its pavilion building into a five-bedroom detached home.
