Presents for Puddles

-

Puddles the cat, who patrolled the Severn Valley Railway's Bridgnorth station for 15 years, has been the recipient of some exciting post!

Puddles moved out of Bridgnorth in March last year, when the nation went into the first Covid-19 lockdown. She has since retired from station duties to a comfortable life living with Samantha Hayward, manager of The Railwayman's Arms, the SVR's pub at Bridgnorth.

However, over the years Puddles has built up quite a fan base and has become accustomed to receiving gifts from some of her biggest fans. Since retirement, her fans have been unable to see her in person, but that hasn't stopped the gifts from coming!

In March, a large parcel posted by a lady called Paula all the way from the south of England, arrived at Bridgnorth station addressed to Puddles.

Puddles was very pleased with the contents which included toys and some top quality cat food. Add that to the Christmas present Paula sent to Puddles, and it would seem after years of hard work patrolling the yard and station (and catching the very occasional rodent) this former station cat is being pampered in her retirement!
