Vintage car query
ISSUE 283 is as excellent as ever. However, I am somewhat bewildered by the photograph on page 77 in the feature of the Cholsey & Wallingford Railway. I'm not sure about the car, which was described as a 1947 Standard 8.
It looks very much like an Austin 10 I once owned; the only difference is in the sloping back window. I have a large collection of car photographs, but not much on Standards – perhaps somebody could give me some clarification?
