Go back to the 1940s with flypast at Mid-Suffolk event

FOR its Middy In The 1940s event over the weekend of May 28/29, the Mid-Suffolk Light Railway has arranged for a flypast by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight’s Hawker Hurricane IIC to take place on the Saturday. With an array of exhibits accompanied by re-enactors, the themed weekend will also feature some of the contributions made by women from the time, with displays centred on the Women’s Voluntary Service, Women’s Land Army and American Women in East Anglia.

The exact timing of the flypast was to be confirmed, and is subject to weather conditions on the day itself.
