Rail Oddities confirmed for Gwili’s unusual June event

-

THE Gwili has announced a line-up of visitors to its June 18 Rail Oddities event, with the first confirmed as Type 27A Mk.III Wickham Trolley B40W from Midsomer Norton.

The visit to Gwili will see the unit returning close to the area it once frequented in service, being allocated to Borth and Aberystwyth, both under 50 miles north of the line. The trolley will be giving rides around Gwili’s Bronwydd Arms station area, with some trips further along the line as part of demonstration runs.

A Didcot-based pump trolley and a privately-owned track inspection Land Rover from the Dean Forest Railway will also be in attendance.

All vehicles will be participating in the endof-day cavalcade.
