Quarry Hunslets take colour

BACHMANN’S OO9 scale models of the iconic narrow gauge Quarry Hunslets have taken a step closer towards final production, with decorated samples shown, encompassing three preserved identities in the first wave of models released.

Tooling caters for a plethora of variations across the class, including with and without dumb buffers, toolboxes, and enclosed cab. A diecast boiler and running plate will give the model ample weight, with etched name and builder’s plates set to be included with the final products to be fitted by the modeller. Preserved examples being represented are:

■ Alice in Dinorwic Quarry Red.

■ Britomart in Pen-yr-Orsedd Quarry Blue.

■ Dorothea in Dorothea Quarry Lined Green. Delivery is expected in early 2023, priced at £139.95 RRP.
