The models

In partnership with Heljan, Rails of Sheffield are producing a choice of three ready-to-run models of the NER autocars in OO scale covering their appearances in both NER and LNER liveries and representing Nos. 3170 and 3171 in NER red and cream (period 1904-23) and 3170 in LNER brown (period 1923-31).

DCC ready with Next 18-pin decoders, and featuring internal lighting, the models will be exquisitely finished, as our illustration of North Eastern Railway No. 3171 in its original red and cream livery clearly shows, and each will cost £199.95.

A winner whichever way you look at it: The intricately painted and lined sample of Rails of Sheffield’s exclusive model of North Eastern Railway Electric Autocar No. 3171 is seen from sideon, head-on and three-quarter front positions.
