Clan Hengist progress on public view
THE Standard Steam Locomotive Company, builder of new Clan Pacific No. 72010 Hengist, is to hold a public open day at the premises of CTL Seal, in Butterthwaite Lane, Sheffield, from 9am to 4pm on September 17.
Visitors will be able to inspect Hengist’s frames including the newly-riveted front buffer beam, and progress on the front bogie. Tours of the works in the afternoon will be offered subject to guides being available.
Admission is £3 or free for members of the B17 Project.
