A new study by Anglia Ruskin University found that spending time in nature can remove the triggers of body image anxiety and strengthen your coping mechanisms. The researchers concluded that spending time in nature helps to improve your ‘rational acceptance’: a coping mechanism that enables you to rationalise, and keep in perspective any negative feelings invading your mind.
