A new study by Anglia Ruskin University found that spending time in nature can remove the triggers of body image anxiety and strengthen your coping mechanisms. The researcher­s concluded that spending time in nature helps to improve your ‘rational acceptance’: a coping mechanism that enables you to rationalis­e, and keep in perspectiv­e any negative feelings invading your mind.
