Breakfast cereals have long been cast aside as an unhealthy option for ‘the most important meal of the day.’ Traditiona­l brands are carb-heavy, contain high amounts of sugar, and o er only a small protein pay-o . Oats – topped with banana and a dollop of peanut butter – have become the functional athlete’s favourite.
