Sometimes, it’s the little things that make us smile most. That’s why bottlegreen prides itself on making cordials and pressés that give you a dash of the extraordinary whenever you need it.

Whether it’s a Friday night in with your friends, a dinner party with the family or simply an evening in on the sofa after a long week at work, bottlegreen can help add a bit of sparkle. Of course, this time of year was made for dining al fresco and if you’re planning on hosting a barbecue, take inspiration from bottlegreen and elevate the occasion with these small changes that are sure to make a big impact.

Marvellous marinades

If you’re looking to achieve bold flavour with minimal effort, a marinade is most certainly the way to go. If lamb kebabs are on the menu, bottlegreen’s Pomegranate & Elderflower Cordial has got you covered. Simply add a couple of tablespoons of the cordial to your meat, along with some crushed garlic and olive oil, and give everything a good mix. Then, set aside to let the flavours soak in until you’re ready to get the kebabs on the grill.

Plant-based pleasures

When you first think of barbecuing, you may picture burgers and other cuts of meat being seared in succession, but the possibilities are endless. Pineapple is delicious grilled as it turns lovely and caramelised, while asparagus and courgettes really come into their own when lightly charred and infused with the smoky flavours of your barbecue. Using bottlegreen Ginger & Lemongrass as a drizzle will add some fiery flavour to your vegetables.

When it comes to drinks, you can’t go wrong with this refreshing cooler (see recipe, above), which is made using bottlegreen’s wonderfully zingy Lime & Mint Cordial.
