Leslie reaching for the stars thanks to TURMERIC+

There’s an added benefit when our interests help us to keep fit, whether it’s long walks, gardening, working out in the gym or perhaps practising yoga. However, as we age, when we push our boundaries, some of us can find it more difficult.

A growing number of people are discovering that a scientifically researched supplement developed in Cambridge called Turmeric+ can help them stay active. One of them is Leslie Batchelor, 78, an architect in her youth, who lives in South London and is a keen walker, Wu Tai Chi student and an Iyengar yoga enthusiast.

“During lockdown I was much less active, despite continuing with my yoga and Tai Chi classes remotely. I walked less and sat down for too long and my knees felt much more creaky than usual.”

“I had read about turmeric and had seen the advertisements for Turmeric+. I thought I had nothing to lose by giving it a try as I was finding the yoga, in particular, much more challenging than I used to.

“After a couple of months of taking it, I thought, hang on a minute, I haven’t thought about my knees at all recently, which is fantastic.”

Turmeric contains compounds called curcuminoids, the most notable of which is curcumin. Not only is curcumin responsible for turmeric’s distinctive yellow colour but it’s also what makes it such a powerful spice.

However, curcumin is difficult for the body to absorb so following extensive analysis the scientists at Futureyou Cambridge chose to use a patented ‘Curcuma Phospholipid Complex’ formulation, rather than black pepper, to make Turmeric+ thirty times more absorbable than standard turmeric. They also added vitamin C, which contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of cartilage.

“I recommend Turmeric+ to my yoga friends and I’m back to my long walks and tackling high stiles. It’s great to feel like I used to, and to be out and about again.”

Adam Cleevely, CEO of Futureyou Cambridge comments; ‘We want to support more people to get and stay active. We think Turmeric+ can play an important role in that journey, just like it has for Leslie and tens of thousands of happy Turmeric+ subscribers who regularly tell us their positive stories.’
