Storm eating is when we are eating because of our emotions – loneliness, anger, guilt or frustration. This type of eating piles on more negative feelings, such as shame, and can spark self-sabotaging behaviour, for example binge eating. Because of the negative feelings linked to binge eating, it can lead to more storm eating and so on… Episodes become cyclical and we forget why we storm-ate in the first place. kityoon. com
