Disabled access ‘compo’
How do you facilitate disabled access in a compartment coach?
That question has been answered by Polish operator PKP Intercity, and manufacturer H Cegielski of Poznan.
Cegielski is currently delivering 81 coaches to PKP IC. The vehicle at InnoTrans incorporates a wheelchair-accessible compartment at one end, as well as a ramp that swivels from the vestibule to allow access from the platform. The remainder of the carriage features conventional compartments.
