Martijn Gilbert

This includes from 2008-13, when he led the business unit responsible for replacement buses and train crew taxis across Arriva’s UK rail franchises. He played a key role in the integration of those six businesses following their acquisition by Deutsche Bahn, while also contributing to successful pre-qualification franchise bid submissions.
After running Reading Buses (2014-18), he then managed Go North East and East Yorkshire, until his move to FirstGroup in September to manage both of its East Coast open access businesses.
Gilbert is a board member and chartered fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and a member of the Institution of Railway Operators.
