A second chord at Bicester

-

The chord added at Bicester in 2015 is a splendid asset to the network. It should have been installed many years earlier.

Is there any scope for adding a chord on the north side of the X? This would enable trains from Banbury (and beyond) to reach Bletchley (and beyond).

The maps show there are industrial units perilously close to the centre of the X.

In the nation’s interest, these should be brushed aside. After all, a 400-year-old oak tree appears to be no obstacle.
