NR prepares next step at Barmouth
Barmouth Viaduct reopened for four weeks on October 15, while Network Rail prepares for the second stage of restoration work on the 155-year-old Grade 2 Listed wooden structure.
The viaduct was closed for five weeks from September 12, as NR and contractors Alun Griffiths carried out essential repairs to timber supporting beams and the metallic substructure section.
It will close again from November 13 until December 10 for additional repairs, strengthening work, and track renewal.
