Capacity upgrade at Haslemere
A nine-day closure of the Haslemere-Havant section of the Portsmouth Direct route until October 30 was organised for major resignalling work.
The Farncombe-Petersfield programme will eventually increase route capacity west of Woking to Portsmouth Harbour.
Other local work includes replacement of three level crossings between Liss and Petersfield, and repairs to Buriton Tunnel.
