Hillside station goes step-free

Hillside in Sefton has become the latest station on the Merseyrail network to go step-free.

The opening of new lifts on October 21 brings the number of step-free stations in the Liverpool City Region to 60, out of a total of 83.

The work was funded through the Department for Transport's Access for All programme and Liverpool City Region Combined Authority's Transforming Cities Fund.
