Push-pull set ready for railtour duties with fresh livery

- LSG.

Driving Brake Standard Open (DBSO) 9707, the final vehicle for Locomotive Services Group’s ScotRail push-pull set, emerges from Crewe’s paint shop on October 18. First introduced between Edinburgh and Glasgow in 1979, push-pull services comprised five Mk 3 coaches and a specially converted Mk 2 DBSO. Traction was provided by a dedicated fleet of Class 47/7s, before the trains were eventually replaced by multiple units in the late 1980s. LSG’s six-coach set will operate with Crewe Diesel Preservation Group-owned 47712 Lady Diana Spencer on railtours from early 2023.
