c2c remembrance poster competition

Train operator c2c ran its annual remembrancethemed school poster competition, open to schools which have adopted c2c stations along its route. The 2022 winner was Year 5 pupil Bella Gjika, from Bournes Green Infant and Junior School.

Her poster featured a poppy-covered train and children holding hands in a field, and the design was subsequently displayed at all c2c’s stations. She visited Thorpe Bay station to see her winning poster on display.

As part of its remembrance celebrations, c2c provided free travel to service personnel and veterans on November 11 (Armistice Day) and over the Remembrance weekend.
