Coach overhaul and transfer round-up

RECENTLY ACQUIRED from Peak Rail, Mk.1 CK 15663 was delivered to the Churnet Valley Railway on October 19 to join the queue for restoration, while Mk.1 BG 81214 has moved from the Lavender Line to the Spa Valley Railway. Offered for sale earlier in the year, it is due to be stripped for spares.

Meanwhile, at the Wensleydale Railway, Mk.2a TSOS 5307 and 5373 have received bodywork and electrical repairs, internal restoration and BR blue/grey repaints ahead of its Christmas services commencing. At Bo’ness, an assessment has been carried out on Mk.1 BSO 9237 to see what work is required to return it to service after almost a decade out of use.
