Race director Phil Eccleston guides you along a flat trail race on the North West coast

‘AS WELL AS THIS, we run a summer version of the race. Both are great introductions to trail racing,’ says Eccleston. ‘ The route is mostly flat and there’s lots to see. My favourite part is where the former railway line cuts through the deep rock that towers up beside you on one section. Time 2 Run works on about 200 events each year, so we know how to put on well-organised races. As well as chip timing and course management, making sure there’s plenty of cake for the 600 runners at the finish is vital.’
