Dark Star River Marathon

This will be the sixth outing for this impressive race. In each of the first five years the event was sold out, which is a good indication of how well it is regarded. It’s actually a little longer than a marathon, at 28.2 miles, but just consider that extra distance as the perfect opportunity to spend two more miles looking at the River Adur, which will keep you company for much of the route. There is also some spectacular South Downs scenery to take your mind off the miles. The going can be muddy but the sense of achievement afterwards makes the effort worthwhile.
