Student sues plastic surgeon for ‘less than perfect’ nose op

-

A student whose quest for “perfect” looks ended up with her nose “collapsing” is suing one of Britain’s top plastic surgeons for tens of thousands of pounds.

In July 2010, Mijin Zahir, 27, told Shailesh Vadodaria – who has appeared on the Embarrassing Bodies television show – that she wanted him to make her nose “ideal”, with “perfect symmetry”. But the student said she was horrified to find the right side of her nose had “collapsed” after the cartilage inside her nostril was weakened.

She also complained she had been left with a “kink” in her nose, resulting in an “asymmetrical nasal tip”.

Miss Zahir, of north London, said Mr Vadodaria “mishandled” her procedure and displayed “negligent surgical technique”.

Ranald Davidson, for the surgeon, told the court: “The results of cosmetic procedures are variable. A surgeon cannot be held negligent because the result is not perfect.”

The case continues.
