Ken Bruce RADIO 2, 9.30AM
He’s live from Stockholm, getting ready for tomorrow night’s Eurovision Song Contest which, alongside Graham Norton, he’ll present for the BBC. Guests include last year’s winner, Mans Zelmerlow of Sweden and this year’s British hopefuls, Joe and Jake. Paddy O’Connell, of Radio 4’s Broadcasting House, will be there too, spotting possible winners. And so will Sweden’s Euro-fan, Ambassador Nicola Clase whose Wednesday programme on BBC World Service wittily explained the contest’s unexpected political power.

Roger Bolton returns with the only regular BBC programme to address its audience’s views of the Corporation’s shows. Bolton, once a TV producer seasoned by political controversy, is an observer of how politicians assume they know best about what people should listen to and watch. And, since he took over from Chris Dunkley as presenter of this show, has proved a doughty fighter for straight answers from producers and executives, a harder task than it first may seem. I wonder if he’ll reveal who will edit The Archers when Sean O’Connor leaves?
