Normal service is resumed more or less at the Royal Albert Hall, as the stars turn out in person for the British film awards, rather than making remote appearances like last year due to the pandemic. Australian comedian and actress Rebel Wilson is the host for the evening, and expect a host of A-list names to turn up, not least from among the nominees.

Lady Gaga is vying for the leading actress award for House Of Gucci, while among those contesting leading actor are Benedict Cumberbatch (The Power Of The Dog) and Leonardo DiCaprio (second from left with Jonah Hill, Meryl Streep and Jennifer Lawrence in Don’t Look Up).

A glittering night also features a celebration of 60 years of James Bond, complete with the stellar Shirley Bassey, accompanied by an orchestra and belting out a classic 007 theme song.
