Drama: Our Friends In The North Radio 4, 2.15pm

Peter Flannery’s award-winning TV drama following the lives of four friends against the backdrop of political change comes to the radio, complete with a new tenth episode, bringing their stories up to date. Luke MacGregor (above) has the somewhat daunting task of playing Geordie, the role that helped launch Daniel Craig’s career.

In Radio 3 In Concert (Radio 3, 7pm) Christoph Koenig joins the BBC National Orchestra of Wales to conduct Grace Williams’s Sea Sketches and Mahler’s Fifth Symphony.
