Stem this tide of cultural vandalism

The extract from Douglas Murray’s new book The War On The West in last week’s Mail on Sunday should be essential reading for all who wish to preserve Western culture, history and religious heritage.

It seems many of our Leftist educational establishments are hell-bent on destroying everything which made Western civilisation a cultural model for the rest of the world to emulate.

As a lifelong member of the Church of England, I worry about the direction it is heading under present leadership, so Mr Murray’s comments concerning institutional racism in the Church are particularly relevant.

The Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby’s apology for its supposed racism in 2020 is an act of self-destruction and an insult to hard-working parish priests and laity alike. It seems the hierarchy has abandoned the teachings of Christ in favour of tearing down statues and selfflagellation.

Leftist activists see racism in every culture, from art to literature and religion, and unless the powers-that-be act quickly to stem this tide of cultural vandalism the historic heritage of the Western world will be lost for future generations.
