JEFF POWELL’S RINGSIDE VERDICT

ROUND 1

FURY 10 WHYTE 9 Fury opens up with orthodox left jabs, not the southpaw stance he had been advertising. Whyte aims for the body but Fury gets under way with a trio of rights to the head.

ROUND 2

FURY 10 WHYTE 9 Now comes the southpaw Fury, so Whyte switches to orthodox. Fury goes back to the left lead to set up a juddering right.

ROUND 3

FURY 10 WHYTE 9

Whyte goes brawling and clinging but keeps getting picked off when at distance. Fury has time to keep pulling up his illfitting shorts.

ROUND 4

FURY 9 WHYTE 10 Referee Lyson lectures Whyte for butting but also Fury for wrestling. Whyte goes to the head with a cracking left which edges his first round.

ROUND 5

FURY 10 WHYTE 9

Two sharp body shots from Fury start the round, with the Gypsy King now in his element, taunting Whyte as he lands well and ups the pace.

ROUND 6

Whyte is swinging wildly now… then suddenly Fury lands with a huge uppercut! It completely wipes out the Body Snatcher in an instant. Game over.
