The People's Friend Special

At The Christmas Market

-

The Christmas Market beckons with the season’s sense of fun,

There’s fairground rides, stalls galore, you’ll be tired when you’re done. There’s baubles, toys and trinkets, the perfect place to shop;

From winter hats to hand-made crafts, you won’t know when to stop!

The skating rink’s a high point but you’ll have to wait in line, A pine tree maze is there this year; getting out will take you time. Father Christmas in his grotto will always draw a queue,

You can even have your fortune told, if that appeals to you.

There’s German beer and sausages, and every kind of treat, We have doughnuts and hot chocolate as we try to grab a seat. The helter-skelter takes me back to when I, too, was small;

I let the young ones try it out, they always have a ball.

We love the Winter Wonderland, with all its festive cheer. It’s a family tradition now; we’ll be back again next year!
