Poetry by Lily Christie
On the horizon in a sea of colour,
The sun is waving its daily goodbye, An ocean of orange, pink and purple, A rainbow of clouds in the distant sky.
The sun, a ball of fire blazing,
Sinking below where I cannot spy, A misty veil of gold and red,
A rainbow of clouds in the distant sky.
And when the sun has almost gone, The sprinkled stars like twinkling eyes, Glitter over the fading colours, A rainbow of clouds in the distant sky.
