Sustainable Swimwear
What does the future hold for swimwear?
Clever scientists have already invented resistance-reducing fabrics that help us swim faster, and now designers are turning their attention to the environmental impact of swimsuits.
Producing synthetic, stretchy material causes pollution, and when we wash our cossies, plastic particles make their way into the sea.
By recycling bottles and repurposing old fishing nets, they can create biodegradable, eco-friendly swimsuits that are sustainable – like these ones shown at a Moscow exhibition last year.
That way, we can feel free to take a dip in the ocean without harming the creatures that call it home.
