A Welsh Bouquet

Poems blossom in the most surprising places, not least in Greenhill Manor Care Home, Merthyr Tydfil, in a project funded by the Dunhill

Residents’ group “The Zimmer Flames” worked with Welsh author and poet Mike Jenkins, pouring out happy reminiscences of love and flowers.

“The workshop at Greenhill was one of my most challenging yet fascinating experiences ever,” Mike says. “We mostly worked in the beautiful garden or their plush cinema room. I acted as scribe, turning their wonderful memories into free verse.”
