Hair care is a global industry worth billions of pounds, with shampoos, sprays and styling potions for every type or trouble. At the beginning of the 20th century, the inspirational Madam C.J. Walker became the first female self-made millionaire in America thanks to her range of homemade hair products for black women. Her line is still going strong today.
